Through Tony Silvagni Surf School, Olympic gold medalist Tony Silvagni offers watersports rentals and lessons suited for all ages and skill levels. Sign up for surf camps and classes, as well as group and individual SUP instruction. Instructors focus on having fun while being safe in the water. Rentals include surfboards, kayaks, bodyboards and paddleboards, as well as bikes, chairs and umbrellas. The shop even handles hauling your gear with free delivery and pickup anywhere on the island.

Odysea Surf School’s instructors have more than a decade of continuous surf lesson instruction experience in North Carolina, and foster a positive learning environment for those seeking to catch their first waves. Odysea offers a variety of surf and SUP lessons in small group and private settings.

Kayaking Tours and Rentals

Hop in a kayak to explore the waters of Carolina Beach State Park. Conveniently located on-site at the park’s marina, Paddle NC offers kayak rentals, instruction and guided tours. Paddle through waters that have historical significance to the golden age of piracy, the American Revolution and the Civil War. Fishing

Carolina Beach’s waters boast some of the best fishing in North Carolina. Head to the Carolina Beach Fishing Center and Marina for an inshore, nearshore, offshore or deep-sea guided fishing excursion in pursuit of king mackerel, grouper, snapper and other brag-worthy catches.
