Virtual Views

Experience your favorite Carolina Beach attractions or explore something new with a virtual tour offering panoramic views of our town. Enjoy seeing the colorful shops and sites along the Carolina Beach Boardwalk, stroll along the sandy shore or check out our local parks and piers.

Daydream of sunny beach days with our Carolina Beach cam. Watch the waves crash on the shore or rise and shine to watch the sunrise over the ocean as you enjoy your morning coffee.

Social Moments

We’re excited for the day you’ll be back in Carolina Beach. During this time, we’ll continue to share scenic photos and videos of our favorite #CarolinaBeach sites on our social media channels. We hope you’ll be inspired by the beautiful views that can be explored when you return.

Natural Escapes

For anyone sheltering on the island, Carolina Beach offers a variety of outdoor oases for you to explore. Take in scenic views, soak up the sunshine and reconnect with nature during this perfect time to experience the great outdoors.

Walk or cycle along the new Island Greenway, a paved path winding around Carolina Beach, or head to Carolina Beach Lake Park to get your steps in with a walk or bike ride along the path surrounding the lake.

Take a historic hike to the top of the 50-foot Sugarloaf Dune at Carolina Beach State Park, where more than 5,000 troops camped during the Civil War. Hikers can take Sugarloaf Trail to the dune to experience coastal evergreen forest, coastal fringe sandhill forest, tidal cypress-gum swamp and longleaf pine savanna.

Home to 13 different habitats amongst its 761 acres, Carolina Beach State Park offers plenty of wide-open space for you to explore. Set out along the half-mile Flytrap Trail to catch a glimpse of the rare Venus Flytraps that only grow natively within a 60-mile radius of Carolina Beach.
